During 2012 I have a studio space at Parramatta Artists Studios, supported by the Australia Council ArtStart Grant Program
In October-November 2012 I will be an artist-in-residence at Bundanon Trust. Whilst at Bundanon I will create a series of site-sensitive, temporal intervention installations, situated to seemingly grow out of corners and edges that are usually overlooked. In my work I often use domestic everyday materials such as feathers, mirrors and netting. I will continue this at Bundanon by collecting and readdressing materials found on-site that in some way refer to our human relationship with nature and landscape. This engagement with site and materials invites contemplation of interconnections between micro and macro, the personal and the universal. Thus these tactile installations prompt an experience of time and place linking one’s present with a personal sense of the past and prompting consideration of one’s own, as well as humanity's, future existence.
